How My Dog's New Ramp Saved My Back (And Our Lake Days)

I'm a dog dad to a big-hearted—and just plain big—Golden Retriever named Ollie. Every weekend in summer, Ollie and I hit the lake. He loves the water, and I love seeing him have fun. But if you're anything like me, you know what happens next:
Ollie leaps joyfully into the water, and when it’s time to come back aboard, he gives me that helpless look—the one that means, "Hey human, pick me up, please." That’s when it hits me: a 75-pound soaking wet ball of fluff that needs to be lifted onto the boat by the handle of his life jacket. And let me tell you, that’s no joke for my lower back!
Recently, though, I stumbled upon something life-changing: The Inflatable Pup Plank XL. At first, I thought it would just be a cute little luxury for Ollie. Little did I know, it would end up being more of a lifesaver for me!
Here's what changed:
-
No more awkward lifting: Ollie climbs up effortlessly on his own, and my chiropractor sees me a lot less.
-
Less stress for Ollie: Now he jumps in and out as he pleases, and trust me, he feels pretty independent.
-
Way more fun: Our lake days got longer and more enjoyable without my aching back cutting things short.
So, fellow dog parents, here’s my two cents: The Pup Plank is not just a ramp—it's therapy for your back, and freedom for your dog. Ollie and I are converts, and I have a feeling you will be too!
Here’s to more lake adventures and fewer backaches!
